Mesothelioma is known as one of most dangerous type of cancer, it's because there's still no cure to it. But even still no cure for mesothelioma, some treatments are developed in order to increase the chance of patient's survival and to decrease some of the pain associated with mesothelioma. Those treatments come with combination of surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy.
Treatment combination such as surgery to remove cancer cells as much as possible, and chemotherapy to prevent those cells to divide themselves are types of treatments that are most suggested to do. To decide which treatment to be used, is affected by the stage or on which level the patient had. The earlier mesothelioma is detected the morel likely the patient respond to treatment.
TENS stand for Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation is a kind of treatment for mesothelioma that use same idea as massage and acupuncture. They put electrodes on the skin in certain location, where patients experiencing pain.
How it works? The device sent a certain electrical shock from a small battery pack. The electrical shock help removing pain from the patient. First the shock will send message to patient's brain to release more endorphins, endorphins are natural chemical produced by the body that create feeling of euphoria/happy. Than the shock will also send the message to the brain to block pain.
