Busy day.

Siobhan has been practicing her screen printing and made this bag, she gave her first one to me. I am so proud of her and I love it x x x
Storkie muscling in while I was writing my talk for the Glasgow conference.

I have knuckled down to get my talk finished today. It has been so difficult to get my mesothelioma life condensed into 15 minutes but I think I have done it. I will post it in another blog. I have been packing and got some shopping for Siobhan and Kieran as I will be away till Friday.

While out shopping I heard someone shout my name. I looked around and there was my ex neighbour who works in the store. She looked horrified. I had gone out again with no make up and wearing my bandana. She came up to me and said she was so frightened and she "didn't like it". I was quite upset by this, I didn't think I looked to bad. She obviously thought I was on my last legs, one foot in my box...... not yet my friend, I have hammered the lid down, I am going nowhere!!!

I told the lady I was fine but she kept repeating "I don't like it".

I don't think she meant any harm, some people have different ways of showing their feelings. I don't think she could face seeing me looking that way, well, hey ho, this is me.

While trying to write my talk, Stork decided it was cuddle time and sat himself on my lap, I had a real struggle trying to write with him on my lap. I can here you "well put him on the floor", well I couldn't, I love him so much, he is so cute so I let him stay.

I am very excited to be going to Glasgow, I will be talking to people at the National Lung Cancer Forum for Nurses Conference.

I am looking forward to it and am looking forward also to meeting Elizabeth tomorrow and Irene on Thursday. They are wonderful ladies, both have lost their husbands to mesothelioma. The great thing about mesothelioma is I meet so many courageous and brave people.

Kieran has gone out to his first gig tonight. He has gone to see a group called Chase and Status with his dad. I hope he has a wonderful time, my baby is growing up so fast x x
