In Decemeber 2008 I received a message on my guest book. It was from a lady in Australia who had mesothelioma and was in remission. By some miracle, this lady had also had a baby who would inspire her every day to survive mesothelioma. She took the hands of many people and guided them through their devistating time of finding out that they had been stricken with mesothelioma after being exposed to asbestos.
The lady in question, Anita Steiner, She was diagnosed in 2007. Since then she had fought so hard to stay alive with her little girl inspiring her every step of the way.
It is with a heavy heart that I write on my blog that Anita has fallen asleep after a valiant battle with this awful disease. She leaves behind Emma, her little girl who will be brought up without her mummy but am sure she will be told everyday how special Anita was and how she inspired people not just in Australia but around the world.
Thank you Anita for showing me the meaning of true courage and bravery, A warrior forever, now residing in the hearts of all she touched.
Rest now sweet angel, you deserve that, wrap your angel wings around your family, guide little Emma through her life and teach her to be as wonderful as you were to everyone. x x x x x x x
It is 5 years to the day that I found out I had mesothelioma. I remember the time I went into the Dr's room to be told I had one of the cruelest most selfish diseases in the world, Mesothelioma. I should be celebrating but today I will be forgoing that to remember my beautiful friend. x x x x x x x
