Mesothelioma and Asbestos
Defination of mesothelioma
Mesothelioma is a cancer of the cells that make up the lining around the outside of the lungs and inside of the ribs (pleura), or around the abdominal organs (peritoneum).
How is asbestos related to mesothelioma?
Till now the only cause that is known of mesothelioma is exposure to Asbestos Fibres. The manufactures of Asbestos already had the knowledge about the hazards of exposure to Asbestos but they never let anyone know about this. They discovered this around seventy years ago but remained silent for their profits. First warning about the hazardous exposure to Asbestos was first discovered in 1960s. The workers are still not told about them being exposed to Asbestos by the manufactures so the risk of asbestos related disease continues.
